On Friday, students planned an investigation into how exercise affects blood pressure and pulse rate. We also reviewed how to design a controlled experiment. The lab will be performed on Monday. Our 3 "runners" need to make sure they wear proper clothes and footwear for running.
On Thursday, students copied a note on blood pressure, the blood vessels, and the components of blood. They then were able to try measuring their own blood pressure using our kits.
On Wednesday we viewed some open heart surgery on YouTube. Students also completed a review on the circulatory system.

Today we reviewed heart anatomy and then students worked on a heart coloring and labeling activity.

Today we went over the human circulatory system. Students learned about the functions and components of the circulatory system. They then learned the parts of the human heart.

Today students finished the work on their Crohn's disease information table. We then discussed a range of digestive disorders as shown on page 190 of their textbooks. Students were also given a review sheet for tomorrow's digestion quiz....yes, you have a quiz tomorrow!
